The GTM Research Reserve will host a guided exploration hike from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. June 3 at the reserve’s Trailhead Pavilion, west of the Guana Dam. During the hike, visitors will learn about the natural biodiversity of the reserve and the peninsula’s 5,000 years of human history. There is a $3 fee for parking and the event is free. DOG DAY FUN
The Ravine Gardens State Park, 1600 Twigg St., Palatka, will hold Dog Days at the park from 9 to 11 a.m. June 3. Visitors will meet local representatives from the Animal Health Center, Crill & Palm Vet Clinic, Shelton Vet Clinic and Pet Supermarket, plus dog trainers and pet adoption specialists.
